SENIOR ADULT MINISTRY

The Seniors of Goodyear Heights Baptist Church - better know as the Happy Hearts, are involved in almost every ministry area of the Church. Our group includes Deacons, Trustees, Teachers, Choir Members and many other areas of involvement. Many of our group are active in various organizations within our Church.

We meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Usually lunch is prepared and served at the Church. Occasionally, we go out to eat as a group.

Twice a year we have banquets, Christmas time and Valentines Day which include some type of entertainment. During our Christmas Banquet we select a Queen and King to reign throughout the year. These events are always well attended and prove to be a wonderful time of fellowship.

We have made many trips both local and out of state, both day trips and overnight trips. Some of our favorite trips are Calloway Gardens, Christmas in Nashville, Chattanooga for a boatride, Looney's Tavern for dramas and the Senior Citizen National Convention in Gatlinburg, plus many others - too many to mention.

It isn't all fun and games - we never forget from whom all our blessings flow. At each meeting we have a devotional time and prayer request time. We always remember that the heart is happiest when it beats for others.

Guests are always welcome! We invite anyone 50 and above to come and meet with us. Watch our site and the Church Bulletin for upcoming events.
